After the 15 minutes on high in the slow cooker didnt thicken the sauce, I took the wings out and laid them on the cookie sheet to broil. Joe December 15, 2014 5:05 PM Reply What if I just cut up some chicken breast chunks and put them in the crock, would I use pretty much the same amount of ingredients and directions? cooking time, etc.? What are your thoughts? Joe Chungah December 15, 2014 6:24 PM Reply It should be fine to use chicken breasts. Chungah September 7, 2015 8:16 PM Reply Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot advise on how to adapt this recipe without a slow cooker. Delicious. Fortunately I was using an Instant Pot on its slow cooker mode, and it has a saut function as well.

Everybody enjoyed them. Could have done 3 1/2 hours maybe even for firmer wings (they were fully cooked at that time) Christine REVIEW: January 9, 2014 Making them today for the first time & with chicken enchaladas for dinner tonight. Can't wait to try them. from frozen&I know you call for less and thawed, but and tips for adjustments? pieces are large as well. Yehudit July 30, 2015 5:34 AM Reply These were great! The best thing I have made in my slow cooker ever. KT3755 Member since:May 8, 2001 REVIEW: November 6, 2014 I don't typically "love" any wings other than your traditional buffalo style, but the Asian flavors on these were fantastic! I took the suggestion of broiling the wings first to crisp the skin a little and I also put them under the broiler after they were cooked to dry the coating a bit then drizzled with the hoisin mixture and sprinkled with the sesame seeds and green onion. Im actually going to give it a try with chicken thighs now-Im thinking the consistency of the skin and meat will lead to a similar delicious outcome, plus they are way cheaper! .
